Master Programs:

The Master’s Degree Program ‘Master in Oral Implantology’ (MOI) is designed for the general dentist who has already taken the first step towards the field of implantology. You have already placed implants and now want to develop your practical skills and build up solid, scientific knowledge in order to provide safe, appropriate and efficient treatments.

The 2-year modular graduate degree program takes your time constraints and job responsibilities into consideration. You have to travel four times to Frankfurt during your course of studies. Each stay lasting between 7 and 10 days: you'll have lessons and hands-on courses and thus grow through input from our international faculty, guest lectures and fellow students. In between the 4 residential periods, you'll be treating patients in your own surgery, documenting and discussing the cases with our team at your own pace.

After successful completion of the program, graduates will receive the academic title of “Master of Science (MSc.) in Oral Implantology”. The graduates will be able to independently plan and implement therapy concepts for the treatment of patients requiring dental implant prosthetics. In addition, graduates will also have the skills required to select, analyse and fully integrate into their own practice a full range of treatments and knowledge in this field of dental implantology.

he Master’s program in Esthetic Dentistry (MED) offered by the J.W. Goethe University is starting in Winter 2019. The international program offers advanced academic training in the field of esthetic dentistry with a multidisciplinary focus.

It is a 90 ECTS part-time program taught entirely in English. The 2-year Master's program takes your time constraints and job responsibilities into consideration. You only have to travel to Frankfurt three times during your course of studies - each stay lasting up to 10 days.

The MED program is designed for the general dentist who has already taken the first step towards the field of esthetic dentistry. It aims to qualify students for demanding synoptic treatment options by enhancing their methodological and manual skills as well as increasing their awareness for the importance of objective evaluation of esthetic cases.

Since all areas of dentistry need to be considered in order to achieve excellent esthetics results, topics like oral- and maxillofacial surgery, dental prosthetics, periodontology, restorative dentistry, orthodontics and dental technology will be addressed in a well-balanced way throughout the whole program.

The program also presents you the opportunity to improve your comprehensive skills across all dental disciplines, especially in designing and applying the best treatment options.

Being completely non-sponsored and independent, the program would provide you with an unbiased view on the latest scientific insights and treatment procedures. Our unique tutorship-system supports you every step of the way – making sure that you always have a go-to person in case of questions regarding your patient treatment cases or your master thesis. Complementary disciplines such as economics, ethics and psychology are also included to help expand and strengthen your expertise while improving your communication skills needed when interacting with patients and colleagues.

The main Goal of the MED program is to provide you with the skill set to plan complex esthetic cases, to form the ideal therapeutic team for the individual esthetic case and to effectlvely head this team.

Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be awarded the academic title of "Master of Science (MSc.) in Esthetic Dentistry".

The Master's program in Dental Technology (MDT) is starting at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main in April 2019. The international program offers advanced academic training in the field of dental technology with a multidisciplinary focus. It is a 120 ECTS part-time program, taught entirely in english language.

Over the period of 3 years you will be travelling 4 times to the Goethe-University, each time up to 8-10 days. During each visit you’ll have face-to-face seminars, lectures as well as hands-on trainings scheduled throughout the day.

The Master in Dental Technology is designed for dental technicians (Bachelor / “Zahntechnikermeister”) and dentists who want to acquire highly advanced qualification in the field of dental technology. The aim of the course “Master of Science in Dental Technology“ is to academically support the change in the line of work of the dental as well as optimizing the working relationship with the dentists undertaking the treatment. Within the program, students gain a deep understanding of assessment procedures, planning and scientific evaluation of complex treatments requiring dental restorations. The program focusses on synergy potentials of different treatment regimes as well as digital optimization of existing therapy options, putting emphasis on scientific aspects. In addition dental technicians will be trained to perform non-invasive treatment steps on patients. All training will be performed on phantom heads.

Being completely non-sponsored and independent, the program is providing you with an unbiased view on latest scientific insights and treatment procedures. Additionally, interdisciplinary topics will be covered, e.g. lab management, business development and anatomy, to broaden your expertise in fields other than dental technology. This allows you to gain benefit from applying different perspectives to your professional knowledge in the field of dental technology.

Our unique tutorship-system supports you every step of the way – making sure that you always have a go-to person in case of questions regarding your dental restoration cases or your masterthesis. Additionally, our e-learning platform is available to you at any time. As all lectures are recorded, you can access them through the e-learning platform and also retrieve course materials or reach out to your fellow students, lecturers or administrative staff.

Target of the MDT program is to provide you with the skill-set to plan and construct complex restoration cases and to be part of an interdisciplinary therapeutic team for the individual dental case. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduates will be awarded the academic title "Master of Science (MSc.) in Dental Technology".
